MAP Construction
Claims & Dispute Support
Delay analysis, quantum and claims preparation for major projects — built on evidence, argued plainly and ready for scrutiny.
The capability
A claim is only as strong as its records. By the time a dispute crystallises the facts are fixed; the only question left is which party can prove them.
Our consultants prepare and defend extension of time and loss and expense claims on major construction and infrastructure contracts. Delay analysis follows recognised methods, applied consistently with the SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol and chosen to suit the records that actually exist. Quantum is built from cost evidence upward — cause linked to effect, effect linked to money — rather than asserted from the top down.
Much of the best claims work happens before any claim is drafted. MAP consultants also work upstream: keeping contemporaneous records fit for analysis, assessing positions early enough to settle them commercially, and supporting legal teams and appointed experts through adjudication when settlement fails.
How MAP delivers it
Support spans the life of a dispute, from early assessment through to adjudication.
Delay analysis
Forensic programme analysis using methods appropriate to the available records, presented so a non-planner can follow the causal chain.
Quantum and loss and expense
Quantification of prolongation, disruption and additional cost from source records, with every figure traceable to its evidence.
Extension of time claims
Preparation and assessment of EOT submissions under NEC4, JCT and bespoke forms — as claimant support or as the party responding.
Adjudication and dispute support
Technical support to legal teams and experts through adjudication and formal proceedings, including referral and response preparation.
