The capability

Every major project rests on the civils. Get the levels, the drainage or the ground model wrong at design stage and the cost surfaces on site, multiplied.

Our engineers have designed civil works for UK infrastructure and energy sites — bulk earthworks and cut-and-fill balances, surface water and foul drainage, access roads and internal circulation, shallow and piled foundations, and the utility corridors that thread between them. Designs are developed to the Eurocodes and current UK practice, with CDM 2015 designer duties discharged and recorded.

Civil design on constrained sites is a sequencing problem as much as a technical one. We design with the earthworks plant, the haul routes and the drainage outfall dates in view, so that the permanent works and the construction method are resolved together rather than left to fight it out during delivery.
