The capability
Most design problems on site are not scheme errors. They are gaps — details never drawn, specifications never reconciled, interfaces never closed. Detailed design is the discipline of closing them.
Our engineers take schemes through to construction status on infrastructure and energy projects: general arrangements into fabrication-ready details, outline specifications into enforceable ones, and design assumptions into confirmed dimensions, fixings and tolerances. The work is multi-discipline by nature, and it is planned against the procurement schedule so that packages reach the supply chain complete.
Buildability is tested at this stage or not at all. Details are reviewed against access, sequence, tolerance stack-ups and the temporary condition, and DfMA opportunities are taken where repetition justifies them. A detail that cannot be built as drawn is a defect — one we would much rather find on paper than in the ground.
